So, I wanted a FW190D9 that had good scale outline and a reasonable fast build time. I wanted to really spend some time doing the finish of the model. I've settled on a Waverly R/C model: Overall, the model has very good scale outline. I will have to cut out the rudder from the fin. No biggie. The next big decision is the business end of the plane. I'm toying with the idea of going electric, to hide the engine completely in the fuse. I really hate things sticking out. I've got a order for MotoCalc, a program to calculate what motor/battery combination is the best and what I can reasonably expect. Based on that, I might have to opt for gas/nitro. Of course there's a O/S rotary engine, that I believe would fit... Hmmmm..... So why not? I've gone ahead and purchased a OS rotary engine... |
